The global community all wish can foster a healthy relationship between children and the media. The book named Children and Media – A Global Perspective which explores two prominent socialization agents in a child’s life —media and the school. Primarily focus on the areas of the professional academic, education, moral, value and achievement of the challenges. The author Dafna Lemish discovered the unique role in a child’s daily life.

In each chapter named below:

“Media and Children at Home”

2. “Media and Individual Development”

3.“Media, Learning, and Literacy”

4. “Media and Health-related Behaviors”

5. “Media and Perceptions of Self and Society”

6. “Media, Sociality, and Participation”

7. “Media Literacy Education”

8. “Policy and Advocacy”

The author Dafna distinguishes the school as a formal education source and media as an informal educational source. The author views the integration of media into the lives of children as a global phenomenon which impacts children more and more in various aspects. Dafna concludes that media is neither good nor bad.

Dafna emphasizes the importance of examining media experiences through the three big “C’s:” the Child, the media Content, and the Context where the media is integrated. She believes that the fourth C, Consequence, can never be talked about without considering the Child, the Content, and the Context. Ultimately, the media is good or bad depending on the particular children in different circumstances and at different times.

In the age of globalization, children live on social media. The software technology on computer, mobile phones is continuously evolving, and currently learning is also inseparable from the online learning resources. Children grow up to connect with media Especially under the concept of blended learning.

So how to let children develop teamwork in the network, not lost in the social media. At their age, control development behavior is an extraordinary ability. How to use global high-tech knowledge and technology work for their development; how to find a learning path that fits children own personality thinking in blended learning. The media need to guide children to form core values or behavioral beliefs. The media should foster children thinking flexibility and insight. The media also lead to having positive learning behaviors and attitudes. The critical point is the guides from parents and school.
