iMovie is a good video editing software. Last semester my course final project need put six videos in limited minutes. I used the iMovie to edit the six videos in 1.09 minutes.

First, click on Projects and Create New. Then I dragged eight clips one by one; I connected them into the timeline, I clicked on each video, and the frame turned yellow. I pulled the left edge of the clip to where which I wanted to begin, So did the right edge. I can view through each clip by dragging the mouse over it. I can see and check the content by speeding up the version of the clip. I also can look at the minutes it took and easy to control the time. Then I found the eight clips took too much time, I decided to delete two, so I controlled videos in 1.09 minutes.

The next step was I dragged my Powerpoint into the timeline. It can show on the timeline together. At last, I click the Share icon in the top right corner. I select one of the following options: Theatre, Email, iTunes, YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, Image and File.

Please see my first edited iMovie project show in below:

I also want to edit my blockbuster movie later. I notice that along the top of the window there are more tabs: My Media, Audio, Titles, and at the end Transitions. I found a video from YouTube teaching how to become a professional-level video-editing. The video shows me how to use the details of the tool on the right side of the window. I can see a collection of tools including color balance, color correction, crop, stabilization, volume, noise reduction, speed, plus filler and audio effects.

Before I choose these tools, I will click each of them to get a feel of detail vision. I am interested in discovering the details of these massive effects of the iMovie, and it takes time, But if you want to explore professional knowledge, It needs not only the time but also ability and challenge.

The video below shows how to become a professional-level video-editing.
